The Camey Elementary School PTA asks for your support during the 2004 – 2005 school year. Camey was the first elementary school built in The Colony, Texas, back in 1977.   The PTA volunteers support more than 600 students now and approximately 70 staff and faculty with educational programs, field trips, student and family of the month programs, a carnival, and Teacher Appreciation Week as well as volunteering throughout the school.

 There are several ways you can help us this year.

Support PTA:  Your $5 membership helps us to support our school and staff by training our chairmen to be the best at their jobs.  It pays for insurance and the "everyday running" of PTA so that we do not have to use fundraising monies to accomplish our daily activities.  Our goal is to break our record of over 600 MEMBERS in our PTA.  This record was set back in the mid-1980's when there were barely 500 students at Camey.  With over 600 students now, we would love to break this record!  ANYONE can be a part of our PTA; grandparents, aunts & uncles, community members.  You do NOT have to have a student at the school to be part of PTA.

Corporate Sponsorship Program: By donating $100, your Company’s business card size ad will be placed on our Sponsor Board to be seen at all times at the school and during PTA meetings.  You will also be recognized in the local newspaper and at our Carnival on November 6th.

Appreciation Programs: We have Student, Family and Volunteer of the Month programs.  We use donated items and gift certificates to show our support for their hard work and appreciation for their help.  In addition, we have a Teacher Appreciation Week, as well as our Volunteer Banquet in May.

Event Support Program: For our Carnival on November 6th, we need donations of food and supplies, as well as silent auction items.

For monetary donations, please make checks payable to Camey PTA.  We will be glad to pick up your donations or you can mail them to 4949 Arbor Glen, The Colony, TX 75056.   Please include a business card with your donation.
